Abstract

The review is devoted to the work by the famous Chinese philosopher Yuka Hui, who continues his research on the problem of a non-European way of thinking, which today is only possible as a philosophy of technology. The book touches on essence of Europe, which consists in combining philosophy, technology and history that have created a civilizational advantage and expanded the European way of thinking to a planetary scale. Accordingly, the contemporary crisis of this way of thinking, manifested in the loss of Heimat and homelessness, affects the whole world. The East, which actively borrows technology, cannot stay away from elaborating this problem. Yuk Hui is trying to find a solution in the concept of individuation as a way of the Eastern response to the crisis. He makes a proposal to European thought, which consists in recognizing homelessness as a new point of view, and Eastern thought as a search for an original solution to the tension between the universality of technology and the locality of thought.
