Abstract

The current state of Russia exhibits certain institutional and procedural elements that characterized the Soviet era. This trend is particularly noticeable in the sphere of military‑patriotic upbringing, which currently lacks a well‑defined conceptual framework and internal structural features, resulting in insufficient systematization of its activities. One of the key factors contributing to the effectiveness of the Soviet military‑patriotic influence on the population was the balanced composition of its subjects, which facilitated the integration of its mechanisms into various segments of the social order. The objective of this study is to analyze the functional role of various actors involved in implementing military‑patriotic upbringing in the USSR and to identify the fundamental patterns of their joint operation. As part of the study, we classified the subjects of the military‑patriotic upbringing system during the Soviet period and determined the essential parameters of its individual actors’ functioning in both normative and practical dimensions. The results we obtained contribute to the development of the theoretical foundations of domestic military‑patriotic upbringing, deepen the understanding of its fundamental retrospective characteristics, and provide a basis for their generalization, which we can selectively apply in developing structural elements of a modern model.
