Abstract

Video games are considered as an actual screen-interactive medium, in which various propaganda strategies of a socio-political orientation are implemented. Technologies of public influence and manipulation can be divided into the following types: 1. "60 to 40" consists in the separation of truthful and false information according to a given percentage. 2. "Rotten herring" involves the creation of a stable negative association with any object by maintaining constant negative, even if false information. 3. "Absolutely obvious" maintenance of false information about the support of any opinion by the majority. The variants of the gameplay integration of propaganda activities and the fight against them are considered separately. As a result, it is proved that there is a dynamic of integration into video game practices and narratives of various ideologically biased topics that legitimize video games as a political phenomenon. They become a tool for screen-interactive propaganda of well-defined socio-political programs and concepts.
