The phenomenon of network discourse is increasingly becoming an object of modern scientific research and discussion. Indeed, the communicative act realized in local and global networks differs from other discursive practices since it is mediated by technical means and is asynchronous and remote in its nature. However, these specific features also give rise to other properties of network interaction that are of great interest to social philosophy, namely, changes in the image and role of subjects of network discourse. In addition, this transformation of the relationship between the addresser and the addressee, between the Self and the Other becomes decisive for the formation of virtual sociality, which has become widespread in modern society. Although the specificity of network discourse has been sufficiently studied by linguists today, this topic has not yet become the subject of a full-fledged analysis for social philosophy. This leads to the isolation of studies of virtual reality and the new living space of man, on the one hand, and discursive practices in the communicative environment of the network society, on the other. In this regard, the article is focused on studying the characteristics of subjects implementing communicative acts in the network space. As a result of the analysis of network discourse, the author identifies its essential characteristics, addresses the asymmetry of the roles of interacting subjects, reveals the problematic nature of the transformation of dialogue into a polylogue and identifies the negative characteristics of the latter. The polylogic nature of interaction in the context of remote and network-mediated interaction enhances the anonymity and scatteredness of the image of the Other, which does not allow to overcome the model of behavior of the network discourse subjects as speaking and centered on themselves.
