Diversification of Sovereignty Types in the Context of the Production Revolution

Various types of sovereignty play an important role in the formation and development of society. Despite numerous publications on different types of sovereignties, there is a lack of research that reveals reasons for their emergence, which stems from the absence of a common approach to their classification and content. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the emergence of new types of sovereignties and technological development in society. To address this issue, we have examined general sovereignty (a generic one with respect to specific sovereignties), the history of the sovereignty concept, and biosocial foundations of sovereignty. We provide a classification of sovereignty types based on various criteria. The results of analysis into production revolutions (according to Grinin L.E. and Grinina A.L.) combined with the classification of types of sovereignties confirm the hypothesis that as technological development increases, so does the number of sovereignty types.
