Abstract

For the second decade in a row, the national priority of our country has been the provision of a prosperous and safe childhood. The formed system of views and principles, the existing directions, forms and methods of preventive work with juvenile delinquents, based on the norms of the current legislation, allow creating conditions for the formation of a law-abiding personality in adolescence. However, law enforcement practice and the criminogenic situation in some regions of Russia require the study of certain issues of preventing illegal behavior among minors. BUTanalysis of statistical data on crimes and offenses committed by minors in Russia for the period from 2016 to 2021, including in some constituent entities of the Federation (Rostov region, Vologda region, Irkutsk region) made it possible to consider the specifics of one of the forms of preventive impact in the form of legal education and legal information, to establish its influence on the formation of the lawful behavior of adolescents in society. The basis of the study was the rule of law governing the prevention of juvenile delinquency and crime, the activities of juvenile departments of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. The study of the age characteristics of adolescence, the legal consciousness of minors who actively use the resources of the Internet space, made it possible to develop a number of proposals for the prevention of offenses and illegal behavior of adolescents in society, which can later be used by state authorities, law enforcement agencies and educational organizations. It is noted that joint preventive activities provide for legal education not only of minors themselves, but of their parents and other legal representatives.
