The modern pandemic, among other things, has raised many questions of an ethical and philosophical nature. Among such issues is the opposition between the concept of «natural health», which is deeply personal in nature, and the idea of normalizing health, carried out by the power structures of society. The concept of «natural health» postulated in the article is considered as a powerful spiritual and ontological resource of the individual, in which its main ethical and existential aspects are realized. If the ethical aspect is manifested in the responsibility of a person for his spiritual and physical health, then the existential one emphasizes that the states of health and illness have a deep personal significance that is not subject to any rationing. In the context of the prevalence of ideas about the normalization of health, this spiritual security of a person is under threat. In this context, the views of M. Foucault are considered, which have a certain significance for the topic under consideration.
