Abstract

This book was published in the jubilee year dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of L.N. Tolstoy. This work includes scientific and philosophical reflections of domestic and foreign philosophers and philologists, who presented to the reader's attention the modern understanding of war and peace, violence and non-violence. These paradoxical phenomena and attempts to comprehend them have been accompanying humanity since the moment of their appearance and remain relevant in our modern time. The scientific interest of this book is due to the polemical and dialogical context (and) caused (and) by the conflicting ideas and theoretical positions of the authors. The content of this book includes an introduction, two extensive parts (each of which contains eleven and twelve chapters, respectively) and a conclusion in the form of a separate co-author's discourse (scientific work) of Viktor Pavlovich Rimsky and Sergei Nikolaevich Borisov.
