Abstract

Literary fiction reveals its predictive potential in the context of modern digitalization and technologization of society. For example, William Gibson, the renowned American-Canadian writer, anticipated the axiological and ethical conflicts of modern society associated with the increasing role of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this article is to provide a philosophical interpretation of the predictive model of symbiosis between humans and artificial intelligence in Gibson's work "Neuromancer." The paper examines the concept of cyberspace as a new ontology and the development of technological corporatocracy as a new form of power. Furthermore, aspects of the devaluation of the biological in the context of cyborgization are analyzed. Similarities between the ideas of "Neuromancer" and the philosophical problems of transhumanism are revealed in the context of discourse on the existential risks of artificial intelligence, the transformation of values, and ideas about corporeality. This article concludes that a new understanding of the philosophy of artificial intelligence is needed, as well as the ethical significance of the dilemma of improving human nature.
