Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the interrelationships within the system of Russian constitutional values. The goal of the research is to analyze the possible hierarchy of elements in the system of Russian constitutional values within legal discourse. Based on doctrinal, normative, and law enforcement sources, the analysis within legal discourse allowed for the substantiation of a functional approach that forms the unity of their status. The study into  the problem has made it possible to determine the main characteristics of constitutional values as a legal and social phenomenon. It is emphasized that the axiology of the modern legal foundations of Russian statehood is actualized by constitutional transformations and has been confirmed in the latest practice of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. The results obtained contribute to the development of the theory of constitutionalism and state studies.
