To the Issue of the Cultural and Anthropological Basis of Patriotism

In modern society, patriotism is a deep emotional and conscious feeling of a person's inseparable connection with their native country, language, and culture. It is the initial self-determination of individuals through their socio-cultural environment. This connection becomes a constant guiding factor in a person's life and influences their specific actions and goals. Patriotism develops within different communities and proclaims unity. It is the rootedness of patriotic feelings in the culture of the native society that determines the unique features of its perception. The latter reflect the specificities of the people’s thinking and cultural identity. The study allows a conсlusion that patriotism is a significant cultural and anthropological aspect that shapes the perception of modern culture.
