Abstract

In the review of the monograph by V.D. Isaev, devoted to the problem of the structure of society, a meta-analysis of the author's concept of the interaction of civilization and culture in modern society is carried out. In the monograph, the author defines the role of modern man in the interaction of these spheres. Based on the author's thesis on the separation of civilization and culture, we can compare the proposed research results in more detail, which helps to determine new coordinates in the field of interaction of culture and civilization. The structure of the monograph makes it possible to analyze the actual space of interaction between man and society from the perspective of civilization and culture, which allows not only to identify gaps and discrepancies, but also to draw conclusions about the intersection and overlap of two spheres and modes of human existence in the world.
