Abstract

In the modern family, there is a problem of spiritual and moral education caused by spiritual starvation in modern society. The influx of vices imposed from outside, namely the propaganda of feminism, LGBT communities, refusal to marry and have children, had a huge impact on the spiritual and moral crisis in family education. Despite the numerous scientific works on the problem of anthropological meanings of family education, the ideas of Slavophiles and Westerners in the context of modern Orthodox family education under conditions of a spiritual and moral crisis still remain unnoticed by researchers. The purpose of this study is to determine the relevance of the positions of Slavophiles and Westerners in the issue of family education for the modern family. As a result of the study, it was determined that family education based on the ideas of the Slavophiles has a beneficial effect on the spiritual, moral and mental health of the child. The results of the research open up new opportunities in the study and development of methods to counteract the moral and ethical decay of society based on traditional, national and religious ideas of Russian philosophers.
