Philosophical Grounding of Traditionalism in Russian Legal Culture

Abstract

Various spheres of socio-political, economic, cultural and spiritual life have long been under the influence of so-called socio-political transformations that have led to gigantic shifts in the civilizational structure. An attempt to interpret conscience and dignity in the context of legal changes in Russian society, based on the provision of the moral sense of law in the traditional legal culture of Russia is presented. The author of the article believes that moral categories in Russian cultural tradition have not individualistic meaning, but are associated with existential dimensions, and bring law to the state of being addressed to the people's organic life, where the measure is conscience as a phenomenon of national self-consciousness. The author concludes that traditional legal culture justified the understanding of morality as a key to human dignity, with the moral regulation of the dialogue between society and state, power and the people becomes self-evident for the author.
