Ethno-confessional Risks of Urban Community Consolidation

Abstract

The article attaches great importance to identifying the problems associated with the cohabitation of representatives of various ethnic and religious groups in the urban agglomeration. Changes in foreign policy and the economy cause a large influx of migrants to the regions of Russia, which determines the high relevance of the issue of consolidation, primarily of urban communities, represented by various ethnic groups of the indigenous population and visitors. The article outlines the main prerequisites leading to the problems of urban community consolidation on the example of the Kazan agglomeration. The categories of ethno-confessional risks that impede consolidating processes are considered. Particular attention is paid to the following categories of risks: risks of a vital, social nature; risks associated with labor activity; risks of joint education of children in the system of primary and secondary specialized education; information and communication risks. The topic of identifying ethno-confessional risks, which determines the consolidation opportunities of the urban community, plays a role in shaping the mechanisms of interethnic interaction. The role of preventive measures to eliminate political risks in order to consolidate urban communities has been determined. The existence of representatives of various ethnic groups on a single territory creates the need for a detailed study of the issues of consolidation and the search for ways of interethnic interaction.
